No longer will those select few lucky enough to own a Koenigsegg complain about having to travel light, because it now comes available with a roofbox!

The Swedish supercar makers have joined forces with the roofbox brand Thule to create the Thule Lightning, specifically designed to fit onto the removable roof of the Koenigsegg Agera R.

The box's shape deems it suitable for skis and other winter sports equipment, Koenigsegg will even throw in a free pair of skis with it. However, the notion of driving this 910bhp monster up to an icy mountain ski resort may put owners off from utilising the Thule Lightning in this way.

Thule's supercar roofbox, made from carbon fibre, needless to say, increases the car's luggage capacity over three-fold, from a paltry 120 to a huge 420 litres. One would suspect the Agera R's 0-60mph time of just 2.9 seconds may be slightly affected from the Thule Lightning. However, glad owners will be able to finally transport more than just a toothbrush on holiday with them.

The roofbox will undoubtedly be available on the endless list of optional extras for the Koenigsegg. No word on the price as yet, but seeing as the Agera R is set to cost almost £1.3million, the Thule Lightning will probably be priced at a small fortune, not that it matters a great deal to Koenigsegg's drivers.
